Logitech Vid

I recently purchased a C250 and it worked great. The software prompted for a new version download and I allowed it to proceed. After the update the vid chat application is very dark. The distant end's picture is still excellent. The 2 pictures on the local side are very dark. I tried all of the settings and they improved the picture somewhat but made the distant end picture really bad. This has to be a software issue. Are there any known fixes at this time? I will re-install the original software for the time being but I will grow tired of the notifiers that will repeatedly show up. I tried yahoo video chat and it works great, it's something with the vid application.

Do you experience this dark local image in other web camera applications?

For example; the Logitech Webcam Software (i.e. LWS or ribbon)?

No, only when I run VID

Try this - press Ctrl-J on your keyboard while the Vid window is open to bring up the Video Optimizer, then click on the 'Begin Optimization' to optimize your video display for Vid.
