Re: SetPoint 6.00.68 is available for download ..... 02/25/2010

Hi! Just installed this one and I'm having problem with status indicators. I'm using Wireless Desktop MK710 on Windows 7 64-bit, and the problem is that status indicators only works/shows on multimedia keys, like Play, Forward or Volume key. I have tired to rollback to v4.8, but with some issue. So my question is there anyway to fix this?

[ Edited ]

Installed on top of new Vista 32 installation. Still no mouse or keyboard tabs in SetPoint settings.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled and tried the scheduled task hack.

Nothing.

Is this ever going to be fixed?

I just upgraded my Windows 7 Professional x64 mouse/keyboard drivers to Setpoint 6.00 x64 from 4.80 x64.  My Cordless Desktop Wave zoom keys stopped functioning under Setpoint 6.00.  I uninstalled Setpoint 6.00 and reinstalled Setpoint 4.80 and my zoom keys are now working again.

Okay - "Setpoint" and in particular version 6.0 may very well be the worst crappy, bloated software I have ever encountered.

a) 50 mB for controlling a keyboard and a mouse??? Are your programmers insanely stupid, lazy or just really really bad?

b) Every previous version has installed without problems (besides being obnoxiously bloated), but Setpoint 6.0 will NOT install on any vista computer I have tried it on (32 bit, 64 bit, danish and english versions).

That's a "do-over"

W7 x64 system with MX 5500 Revolution keyboard/Mouse combo.

Lost the display of changing the CAPS key. Now only get a weak beep when turning on and NOTHING when turning off...

How can I go back to the original version?

Installed it:  it is unstable, and zoom key does not function.  Uninstalled and reinstalled it several times.  No improvements.  OS is win XP.  I have had zero problems with my wave keyboard and SetPoint untill this version???  Suggest ya fix it...

Well, good news and bad news.. Good news is version 6 FINALLY allows the LCD screen to work for both email AND media in Windows 7 64-bit, although I'd wish it'd support MediaMonkey, and not just WinAmp and WMP. I guess it's better than 4.80 which never did work right, though. V6.0 problem is, the mouse/keyboard return to basic functionality (no extra button functions, no back/forward mouse buttons, kb hot keys, etc) when resuming from sleep. Very annoying. If you close and reopen the Setpoint software, everything works. I'm not going through that everytime I resume. Not only that, but I had to install 6.0 twice for the control panel to properly show. Heck with this garbage. I'm going back to 4.80. I'll live without the LCD status for media. At least that version works when resuming from sleep! BTW, what even happened to version 5?

Re: SetPoint 6.00.68 is available for download ..... 02/25/2010

I have Windows 7 RC as an OS and have, in the past, several problems with my Logitech products.  I know, I know it's beta! The only way that I can boot my computer is by plugging in my PS2 keyboard.  Once I get to the Windows log in screen do I get Bluetooth to recognize the keyboard.  MX5000 combo.  The MX1000 mouse cursor, after a few minutes, begins to drift.  I was hoping that the upgrade to 6.0 would fix this but it hasn't.  The third problem comes when connecting the devices.  I get, not sure if it's Logitech or the OS, a window that request a paring code be entered.  Suppose to be on the back of the keyboard or on the box the unit came in.  I've put in every ALPHA, NUM sets of numbers I could find on the back of the keyboard by the window requesting the paring code rejects all of these entries.  The mini-receiver that came with my latest keyboard combo doesn't have the red button and is just a half moon 2" device.  I recall the previous installs had a window that had a code on it and ask that you type in that code.  I don't get that even when I RMB and ADD A DEVICE.  What appears is that pairing code window.  Frustrating to say the least!

Hey!  Got the same issue too.  After a reboot or long time of inactivity, the function Keys no longer work.  Setpoint 4.80 never had this issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, reinstall 4.80, lol. All my problems (with the exception of LCD changes for media) have been (re)corrected.
