Re: Community Feedback Request (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe)

I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2.  When my system booted up tonight I got the error box with the message re: Logitech Desktop Messenger.  I only use the Logitech web cam 9000.  I'm not sure how this will impact its functionality and would appreciate an email response.

Re: Community Feedback Request (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe)

I am having all kinds of issues with my Logitech products.

I have the following devices installed and connected to my PC.

Quickcam Pro 9000
Wireless Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard MX 5000 Laser combination

Now I am running XP Home SP3

1.  On rebooting or starting up my PC I get and error message regarding desktop messenger.  The message reads as follows: Runner file name (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe) lacks a '-' (the app id separator)

2:  With my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse I have encountered a problem on downloading and installing the latest upgrade, which I downloaded from the Logitech website.  The file name is: setpoint480_btw.  The problem I have encountered is that my Keyboard cannot connect.

I have uninstalled it form add remove programs and have tried rolling back drivers and this has failed to provide satisfaction.  How do I get my keyboard and mouse back to it's original state, so that it will automatically download and update the drivers as they become available.

I have taken screen dumps of these errors.

3.  The next problem I have is that, with my Quickcam Pro 5000.  It was bought specifically for a video voice program I used called PalTalk.  I have not been able to use this cam on Paltalk at all.  What is the problem? I have owned and used a few different Logitech cams without problems.  Can you please provide me with information on how this can be rectified, as the cam was not a cheap purchase.

Re: Community Feedback Request (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe)

I am using Windows x64 and have recently downloaded the most recent Harmony One 'package'.  On startup I get the message that Logitech Messenger is not compatible with this OS.  I note that Harmony software is in both x86 and x64 versions however the version downloaded automatically from the Logitech site is the 32 bit version as it is installed in the x86 folder.  I intende to 'manually' download anfd install the 64 bit version and perhaps that will 'cure' the problem

Re: Community Feedback Request (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe)

I also have a error message when booting up (Win7 x64) advising Logitech DeskytopMessenger is not compatible with this OS.  There does not appear to be a solution.  Checking run as Administrator has no affect.

Re: Community Feedback Request (LogitechDesktopMessenger.exe)

I use an MK300 combo. I am generally happy with it, but I am infuriated

at the number of keystrokes I waste hitting the Caps Lock and Num Lock

buttons to see whether the bloody things are on or off. Why don't they

put an LED on the keyboard so you can tell at  glance whether they are on

or off. :smileymad::smileymad:
