Hi.
I'm not too familiar with the "new" style of mousewheel (i've used mx518 for last 3 years) and i also have VX revolution for my notebook, no problems with that mouse at all.
But for the G500 the wheel is very wobbly and loose. It is impossible to middle click without tilting the wheel (it tilts left for me always)
after 20 tries i can get a single succesfully middle click. Not too good.
Left and right clicks are very loud compared to my mx518 (not too much of a problem tho)
I'm a claw gripper so i always press the mouse buttons rather high. With this G500 it makes weird noise when clicking. It gets a contact to something i assume. The extra sound is very annoying!
Just some weird things.
Please have a look at the little video clip i made to see for yourself and please give me some feedback if this really is normal thing for this mouse or do i have a crooked one for some way.

P.S. I've always loved logitech for their good support and great build quality. However this G500 does not rank too high for me in the build quality scale at the moment.
Thanks
Edit: Oh and i just got this mouse under a week ago. So the wheel is not worn out or anything. (mouse was firmware 1.0)

I got one that squeaked a bit when pushing the left mouse button. You could also feel that in the finger, THAT was annoying. The other G500 doesn't do that though.

Thanks for your reply RcL
Did you buy another mouse, which didnt have the button clicking problem? Or did you get a replacement?
And yes, it feels nasty on my finger too :/
Anyone else, any opinions please?

Hi
I've got two from Amazon (Germany). Both feel pretty flimsy compared to my other Logitech mice - the buttons are not as sturdy as those on my G5, for example (yes, they click just like the ones in your video, but that's not really something I care about). The mouse wheel is very wobbly but that doesn't bother me.
So, basically, the tactile feedback of the mouse buttons is dissapointing - but they're also huge, so that might be the reason. I hope I'll get used to it. I love the sensor and the weight of it, so I don't think I'll change/send them back. But this shouldn't have been an issue, especially with Logitechs experience and I hope that later revisions will increase the build quality (back to G5/MX518).
