Super TV Pro will work with Vista Ultimate SP1 in case you do thye following.

You install it s usual then before starting the program, you go to C:\Program Files\SuperTV pro and find the powrproff.dll.

You do not have to delete it, you may put any letter at the beginning like zpowrproff.dll, so the program will loose it.

and the superTV pro will work without compatibility setting.

Dual Action Gamepad

All--

I have a robotics application that I want to control using the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. Will you please tell me which USB COMM port the Gamepad uses or how to discover which USB COMM port it grabs? Device Manager is essentially useless in this effort as both Logitech tech support and I discovered.

I am running everything on a Dell Latitude D530 under XP SP2.

Can you confirm my GUESS that the Gamepad grabs a COMM port and then each control activation sends a character string via that port which identifies the control and the direction of movement of the control?

Had similar problem under VISTA which appeared to be driven by the use of IO tags which wanted to open tasks or E-mails. Overcame the problem by:

1. marking all the .exe files in the Logitech IO software folder as "Run as administrator"

2. reboot computer

3. note the small icon in the systray which attempts to block the pen.icon - right click on this icon and run the blocked program. (this seems to be a Windows Defender block)

Downloads then proceeded as normal.

Can I use this keyboard with Bluetooth to type into a Windows Mobile v6 smartphone or PDA?
(not use the mouse, only type text).

I have not purchased this and am considering getting a full-size keyboard to type into my Windows Mobile v6 smartphone.
1. Will it work out of the box as Bluetooth for typing text?
2. Will I be able to install any software onto the Windows Mobile v6 OS of the smartphone from Logitech to make it work?

I spoke to the people at Destiny and they sent me this response. It seems that to work properly you need .Net Framework 1.1 and the service pack. My pen (a Nokia) now works.

Follow these steps:

IO Software and Vista Compatibility

For compatibility of the IO software and Windows Vista two windows framework packs must be installed;

1). Install .Net Framework 1.1 and then

2). the .Net 1.1 Service Pack

Once installed re-start computer and install the IO software as usual.

Both are available from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads or just put them into Google Search Engine.

Hi guys!
I have an io2 too and the led are also flashing red, with vibrating, even when I plug it to charge! I tried to download the Business kit, but the link you posted is now dead....
Someone could repost another one? pleease :'(

It's been almost 3 months since this announcement. Has the transition been completed yet? Are there updates regarding the transition and its associated changes to the product/software?

(I am also a 64-bit Vista user awaiting drivers)

While waiting for a replacement IO2 pen from Logitech, I bought one for $79.99 from Geeks.com. Fast service. Pen was latest version in their new packaging. Works great.

I also am not in any way connected to Geeks.com., but I'm very impressed with their prices and service.

Called tech support today. My pen is not downloading. Troubleshooting took over 1 hour, isolated to the pen itself. There are no pens available for replacement from Logitech, so I get a refund sometime in the next 4 months.

Hope destiny starts up manufacturing soon!

It's great that another company is buying the pen business. Now maybe we users will get the attention that we deserve. We have all been loyal users, frustrated by the lack of Vista support and further by the lack of attention to boards, emails and other queries. I hope the smokescreen will be fanned away by the new company. Logitech, whose products I love, is a big failure on the customer service front, feeding me lies -- I was told last year that Logitech programmers were working around the clock to come up with a Vista patch. Lies. Stonewalling. Not monitoring these boards to give any guidance. And finally giving us the hope that we are looking for with a dispationate press release about the sale of the business.

Logitech IO USB driver setup: "Cannot install this hardware"

I think I'm close to getting my pen installed, but I need some help. My Logitech IO Digital Pen worked fine with my old Dell laptop. Now I am running Windows XP SP2 on an Apple MacBook Pro. I have installed the Logitech software, but every time I plug in the USB cradle and pen, the "Add new hardware" wizard pops up and is unable to find drivers to install.

Steps I tried:

- Downloaded iopen210enu.exe from Logitech support site
- Downloaded .Net Framework 1.1 from Microsoft
- Installed .Net Framework
- Installed Logitech IO Pen software 2.1.364.3
- Fully charged Pen battery
- Reset Pen
- Connected IO Pen to USB cradle
- Plugged cradle into laptop

At this point the "Found new hardware" wizard attempts to locate drivers. I tried three things:

- "Install the software automatically" -- can't find drivers
- "Search in location:" C:\Program Files\Logitech\ioSoftware\USB-Driver -- can't find drivers
- "Choose driver to install" look under Logitech and Logitech, Inc. -- no IO Pen listed

The pen software "About" box shows no value in the "Pen Driver version" field.

Any advice? I must be close.

The only way that I resolved the issue was to perform the full memory reset. Of course, I lost all information saved in the pen.

It seems to me that there should be resolution to the problem without having to perform the full memory reset. However, when one has done everything else, and there is no reply from Logitech technical support, what else can one do?

This thread is proof that this is not an isolated problem. At least we should have gotten some kind of reply from Logitech. I am very dissappointed with Logitech technical support.

After too many promises not kept - I received my replacement pen today!
