We don't have a firm date when it will be available in stores, but I don't think it will be available for purchase before Christmas. I would expect it to be available not too long after though. Sorry!

If the game developer programs in support, then yeah, there is no other technical limitation that I'm aware of. BUT, I'm personally not aware of any upcoming PS2 games with H-Gate shifter support

The problem with the previous version is that it's a bit slow. But the new version should be much faster..

Hope this version supports the MediaBoard Pro without a driver... :-)

I wasn't sure if this thread belonged here or in Microphones, but I'm hoping a moderator might be able to tell me if a firm release date has been set for December. I think it's a great idea and would make a cool gift for a RockBand-addicted friend of mine.

Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A

reconnecting doesn't seem to be working. what happens is when i put the batteries in and hit any button it will blink one time each second for aprox. 43 sec which is about 43 sec. then it turns off and i have to take out and put the batteries back in to do it all over again. reconnecting it didn't do anything. its wierd that it will work for a short period of time then cut out. any other ideas?

To reconnect a controller:

Press the button on the receiver (The weird horseshoe crab shaped thingie) then press any face button (a,b,x,y) on the controller

You can also perform a receiver reset by holding down the connect button for 10 seconds, then pressing a face button on the controller

I have a cordless logitech controller for my xbox and what it is doing now is, it will be usable for about a minute (the red led is blinking the entire time) and then the controller will just die and be unusable until I take out the batteries and then it will do it again. the batteries are new so it's not that. any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

it is correct that you need to have another control plugged in.

I believe the reasoning for this is that it would be difficult for the user to navigate through the rock band menus (buy stuff.... choose difficulty) without one.

I felt the same way you do now, a little while ago, but am now ok with it. and.... I plug this thing into my usb port on my pc to record my REAL guitar playing and this thing works pretty well.... not up to standards of a $100+ microphone, but it certainly does the job!

What do you mean, a separate controller plugged in? I've only got wireless controllers, so should I have one of my regular gamepad controllers active when I want to use the mic? That's a real waste of batteries.

If this is true, it's going straight back to the shop. False advertising in my opinion.

"HERE'S A FANTASTIC LOGITECH USB MICROPHONE FOR XBOX 360 (but it doesn't really work normally and you'll have to jump through hoops to use it, not to mention waste a lot of batteries even though the microphone is wired)".

Please tell me this isn't true.

Please check your local Logitech.com webpage for an official announcement

3) What makes the North American "Premiere Edition" special?
The premiere edition will come with an authentic gig-bag for transportation and storage of your Logitech controller. There will be initially a limited quantity of this device

4) Will there be an Xbox 360/Wii/PC version?
We currently do not have an announced controller for any other platforms beyond the PS2 and PS3. Any announcements for future products will be done through www.logitech.com

5) Will my Guitar Hero rechargable battery pack fit in the controller?
Yes

6) What does the Touch Sensitive Neck Slider do?
The touch slider's performance and behavior is determined by the game is is being played on. Please refer to your software manual on how this control is implemented and if this control is supported

7) Will there be any future colors?
We have not announced any plans for this.

8) What is the range of this controller?
Up to 30 feet / 10 meters

9) Is this guitar really real wood? How much of it is wood? Is it the same size as a real guitar?
The guitar is made in a 3/4th size scale to a standard guitar. The neck is solid wood, and the body is made out of a reinforced wood product to make the controller more durable.

10) Are the buttons/Strum Bar really that quiet?
Logitech has developed an entirely new way to strum bar activity, and this allows for a quieter performance, but still has the tactile feedback you've become used to. The buttons are also quieted through using a button design that is different from the standard guitar controllers

11) How long is the warranty?
The Wireless Guitar Controller will have a 1 year warranty.

12) Are the black plastic pickups functional?
The "double humbucker" style pickups serve as your Star Power button. For advanced players this allows the activation of star power without having to tilt the guitar.

13) Will these work with Rock Band 1/2 or Guitar Revolution?
This guitar was designed to function exclusively with the Guitar Hero series for Playstation. If a game developer includes support in their own 3rd party game for our controllers, then you may use it with that game. At this time we do not have any official information of support for this controller beyond the Guitar Hero series.
Message Edited by CharlesB on 10-23-2008 01:47 PM
