C260 Camera and MS Messenger? Help! (Win7-64bit)

Hello,

We bought this camera for my wife to use with MS Messenger but MS Messenger "Please install a web camera to make a video connection" when we try to connect. She is running Win7-64bit.

We have installed all the Logitech software for the camera and we can see video in the Logitech Webcam application.

The funny thing is that if we first try to make a video call in MS Messenger the Logitech Webcam application will say "camera in use by MS Messenger".

Here is another piece of info. The C260 works fine under MS Messenger on my computer also running Win7-64.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Using TWO 9000 Pro webcams at ONCE?

Hi Community!

I'm trying to do a 2-camera webcast using a 9000 Pro webcam (which I LOVE) and a Sony mini DV cam as my 2nd source. I'm having alot of trouble with that Sony cam as alot of the webcasting software (WireCast, Ustream Producer Pro, etc..) is taking the source at 30 fps and I cannot ratchet that frame rate down it seems. 30 fps is complete overkill and is stuttering.

So I am going to PLAN B:

TWO 9000 Pro webcams -- One amied at (the great) me, and the other at my on-location audience.

Question:

Will the Logitech software/drivers get "confused" if I'm using TWO 9000 Pro cams at once?

(Will I simply pop-up TWO identical "Webcam Software" windows? This scenario is something i could live with -- I dunno how the Webcam Software would know to handle two cams...)

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Lippy

Webcam C200 crashes PC when using Skype (Windows XP Pro)

Hi there, I recently purchased a Logitech Webcam C200, my PC has the following specs:

Intel Duo 1.6Ghz CPU

1GB RAM

Windows XP Pro ver 5.1 SP2

The install for the webcam seemed to go smoothly and I was able to get the camera working and use all the loaded software, but when I try to access the camera through Skype (ver 4.2.0.169), the PC just crashes. No BSOD, just an abrupt reboot. This happens when you click on the CALL or VIDEO CALL button in Skype, and also when accessing the Menu - Tools - Options - Video tab. I have downloaded and installed the latest software upgrade of 114Mb, tried different USB ports (front and back), and even reduced the resolution on the camera as I thought the crashing could be memory related but nothing seems to help.

I am connected to the net via ADSL, the driver version for the webcam reflects as 12.10.1110.0.

Do you have any advice or comments please?

Hey,

So I spent 5 hours trying to get my webcam broadcasting last night so that I can access via my android phone.

At the end of the night I had downloaded a whole bunch of applications on my XP pc and couldn't get it going :(

- VLC

- tincam

- webcamXP

to name a few.

I liked webcamXP the most. I just am at a loss as to what I'm supposed to put for the IP address for the webcam in the software to broadcast. I do have full access to my router (netgear) but I'm so lost with the whole port forwarding and triggering thing too.

To start off though, it'd help to know about the whole IP address for the webcam etc.

And anything else you have to offer, thank you!!!!!!

I've read so many forums and articles already and am still so confused.

Hi I'm having problems with the Video Effects and Mic working on Chatroulette. Error Code = 0x80040606 They work fine on Skype. Same thing happens on other sites that have been listed with this problem (ie mebeam.com and odanta.com) I've added Firefox to the Video Effects App list. When I right click on the screen to test Adobe with the mic it shows it but makes a loud echo sound most of the time. Couldn't find how to add Adobe to the Video Effects App though.

Pro 9000 Quickcam -- loosing focus - Windows XP Professional

I just bought the Pro 9000

I have the same problem so I have tried to installed the Logitech Webcam Software (all of them even controllers), and have follow the procedure described by fifonik. Windows found the camera and installed it's own driver and after I have updated through the Device Manager. As fifonik said the system found last Logitech driver and installed it (version 2.0 Build 13.0.1783).

At the beginning it works fine (even with autofocus enabled) but after it loose the focus again (just before loosing focus the led on the camera switched off for some seconds, and when it switched on again, it was out of focused, exactly as before uninstalling and re-installing the software again).

Without autofocus the image is very poor as well even 2.5 mts distance.

Operative System: Windows XP Professional

PC: Intel, Pentium 4 3.00GHz

2.99 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM

What should I do???

Logitech WebCam Green light

I have a Logitech webcam (not sure of the model). When I connect with Skype, the green light of my camera comes on, but after a while it disapears and then comes back on again - all the while the call is still connected. Also, I have noticed sometimes when the connection is slow, the video hangs, the light goes off, and after a while the light comes back on and the video starts rolling. However, this has just recently started happenning. Any ideas?
