Hi there,

I see many topics on the internet about the pure-fi anywhere 2 having compatibility issues with iOS 4. But I don't see the answer to my question: Does it work well with an iPhone 4 ?

Thnx!

I'm on my second refurbished Pure-fi anywhere 2 and my new problem is music plays fine(and sounds very good) while plugged into the wall jack, however wont play music while mobile(and unplugged). The green battery lights are showing full charge, the remote will move volume up and down and my Nano is receiving a charge-BUT STILL NO SOUND. I tried the paperclip reset and still no luck. So to recap: Works fine plugged in. Shows full charge, but when removing wall adapter the sound stops- although everything else keeps working like lights on the Nano remote still performs functions but NO SOUND...HELP

My speakers stopped working after the AC/DC power switching adapter hit the floor. The unit appears to do all the functions like it always has, it's just no sound comes out of the speakers. Strange, the unit didn't fall to the floor just the adapter, yet no sound.

Any ideas on what could be happening?

Thanks!

Hi, everyone.

I seem to be having an issue with my PureFi anywhere II.

i've used it with my ipod touch 3rd generation before, though not often.

Last night I tried to connect the ipod to the anywhere II and it told me that this accessory was not supported by ipod touch.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? i'm running iOS 4.0.2.

Thanks,

Cheryl

PS, can someone please tell me how to change my email address on the boards? I can't seem to figure it out, and the one link I followed took me to the main support page.

Hi all,

I'd be interested to hear how other users use their ipod dock beyond the obvious of playing your music library. I have an ipod touch and I use my S315 for the following:

- Internet radio. I bought the Wunder Radio app for £3.99 and I can get around 30,000 stations from around the world. This is a better solution than dedicated internet radios that retail for around £180 in the UK.

- BBC iPlayer. There's no dedicated iplayer app (yet) for ipods but you can make an app very easily which connects using the browser. To be honest its as good as an app and it means I can listen to catchup radio (see here for a video on how to set this up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0i0UZJcmdg

- Listen to podcasts 'on the fly' using stitcher. This means you can listen to podcasts without having to subscribe and download them. So you can have loads configured as favourites but only dip into them from time to time as you want.

- Stream music using finetune. We don't have pandora here in the UK but this does the same thing - plays artists similar to artists that you like.

On top of all this, it's portable so you can listen to stuff all around the house and in the garden.

I'm sure I've only scratched the surface of what you can do with ipod plus speakers. What does everyone else do with theirs?

Chris

Hi all,

I wonder if there is a way to stop the unit from charging my iphone.

I only like to charge my phone when the battery is nearly dead and like to do a full charge. So using the unit messes up with my charging regime. Is there a way to disable charging whilst continuing to use the unit with an iphone?

Many thanks

Niz

Modified sine wave inverter for s715i speakers? Full specs for ac adapter requested.

Hello,

I am lusting after the s715i, and this should be.. As an occasional performer-(spinning poi and staff in urban and forest settings (LED only no fire...yet >;-) )) I might need more volume than the battery mode provides. So I will be plugging something into the DC power jack in back.

It would be geat if I could run it straight off a 12v gel cell into the dc jack but that's probably a fantasy (maybe think of that next time) What are the specs for ac adapter on this unit. (amps in, V out, amps out) Can it work from a modified sine wave inverter (Would it void the warranty to do so?). if so, I'll likely get a gell cell and modified sine wave inverter; plug the logitech adapter into it, and we'll have a blast. Thanks for reading, thanks in advance for helping!

iPod seems 'slack' in dock and won't play/charge, even with adapter?

Hi,

I bought a set of pure fi express plus speakers from Amazon a few days ago. They arrived and I initially had a bit of trouble getting the speakers to play, but after restarting my iPod the problem was resolved and it was working fine, playing music and charging, as expected.

I got home yesterday to find my iPod won't charge in the dock and won't play any music unless I put my fingers behind my iPod and gently pull it towards the front of the dock. When I let go, it falls backwards and stops charging. I have tried all of the adapters, but to no avail.

It's as though my iPod is slack. Instead of standing up right, it kind of reclines backwards which means it won't charge/play music.

Can anyone help with this, or should I send them back for a replacement?

Thanks for any replies!

Hi,

When I insert my Ipod touch (model no: A1318, Serial: 9C002Z196K2) into my Logitech Pure-Fi Dream (PID A939, m/N S-00010) I get the message:

"Charging is not supported with this accessory"

You can hear the bleep that you would normally get when you charge it in a PC, and for half a second you see the emblem of a charged battery (battery with charging cord in it), it then gives the MESSAGE and stops charging

When I first got the Pure Fi, it would give this message only 70% of the time, now it is every time I plug it in

Also, when it is playing music from the ipod, it gives the message, giving that charging bleep, which is quite annoying

It plays music, radio, aux, ... fine, alarm works fine, it just doesn't charge my Ipod

I already resetted both the Ipod and Pure Fi Dream

I will try to make a video of it, or post some pictures tomorrow

Any help would be great

PS: I bought my Ipod approx 6 months ago, bought my Pure Fi approx 1,5 months ago

Hi,

I recently purchased a Pure-Fi Anywhere 2. I tested the one in the shop with my iPod nano 5th gen and it worked fine.

I've opened the one I purchased however and if I put the ipod in the dock no sound comes out (it plays out the speaker in the ipod itself). The shuffle and repeat buttons on top of the speaker unit do control the ipod through the dock connector however.

The speakers also work fine if you plug in an AUX cable.

Any ideas how I can get it to work with my ipod? I've tried changing the volume/resetting the ipod etc. but had no luck.

Thanks

Ok so I just ordered a Pur-Fi anywere 2 from Amazon and should recieve it in a few days. I'm starting to think that was a mistake because of all the problems and issues I am reading about on this forume. Problems like not working with IOS4 wich is a major concern to me since I just updated my touch 2g to ios4. Also their seams to be alot of issues with the reliabilty of anywere 2.

So did I make a bad purcase? should I give the speakers a chance? Or should I just send it right back to Amazon for a full refund and buy something els?

Any suggestions or comments would be great!

Thank you

Sleep timer on Pure-Fi Dream

Hi,

Just got the Pure-Fi Dream and I am having troubles with the sleep timer using an ipod nano 5th Generation. Twice now I have set it to 60 minutes and it hasn't shut down. I see the timer and it is counting down but over an hour later it is still playing and the timer is gone. Don't know whether it shut down and then restarted or when the timer 'disappears' because I am in the 'twilight zone'! Tried setting the timer to 5 minutes and it seems fine so I know I am operating it properly.

Thanks

AC adapter mishap!

Hi,

I recently brought my Pure-FI Anytime speakers to Tanzania from the US (bought online from the Apple Store) and plugged it in. I forgot about the voltage difference and now unfortunately I've blown the adapter!

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the US adapter again on its own (I'll use a voltage converter this time!) or if there is an UK version of the AC/AC adapter that will work with the speakers?

I've spoken to Logitech and I can't buy the AC adapter on it's own. It was the first time using the speaker so I'm pretty bummed about this.

Deperate!!

Thank you in advance.

Pure Fi Anywhere dock tray with iPod Touch

I have read all of the articles related to using the Pure If Anywhere with the iPod Touch, but I can only get the speakers to work sporadically if I pull the iPod forward while it is connected and hold it. I am using tray 16, which i think is the one that came with my Touch. Can folks who are using the Pure Fi Anywhere speakers successfully with their iPod Touch please let me know which tray they are using?? Thanks
