OK, I uninstalled the software, downloaded a second time, and reinstalled. When I run the software for the first time, after checking for connectivity, if I say that I need to recover my password, and then indicate that I have the remote, after continuing and being prompted to connect the USB cable, the remote does NOT say that it's connected, and nothing happens.

I've tried three different USB - mini USB cables, including the one that came with my Harmony One.

Suggestions?

I understand your desire to keep things close to bit-perfection as possible (though you're still obviously downsampling one way or another), but why convert the files manually? Doesn't the SF process the files (though at shorter word length)? Like you, I have a 16-bit DAC (Parasound DA/C 1600 HD, though I used to own a SF also) I haven't upgraded from yet. My DAC still outperforms the Touches - the difference isn't subtle - however you should definitely run the test and trust your own ears. Just not sure why you'd want to change the files themselves.

EDIT: I just saw you wanted to downsample at the Touch/Server level, not file. My bad. Still won't your DAC play the files fine? My three vintage DACs do.

I agree with AUDX in the above post. Regardless of how others perceive the use of ACTIVITIES vs DEVICES to be correct or incorrect, many of us would like this feature. The way each of us uses the remote may be different and if Logitech didn't intend for us to use the DEVICES feature on the remote, why put it there? The idea is to provide a better user experience is it not?

There needs to be a speedier more efficient way to sort the pages and those options within the pages. If the software could just delete all blank pages upon saving, it would be a big time saver for me. It already does this to blank pages at the end, why not improve to delete blank pages in the middle OR have way to delete the entire page as a button or click.

Since this wheel is based on old tech that has been deprecated by logitech, how about making the last working 32bit driver source code (v4.6) available?

Then people (programmers) at least have a start at making a modern 64 bit version from it, albeit with limited functionality compared to todays wheels.

Status option problem

My status options only shows Log Out, there are no options like Available or Unavailable.

my status is always set to Unavailable. how can I change my status to Available or how can I get the options such as Available ( when it only shows LogOut) ?

WD TV Player

I have added a Western Digital Media TV Player to my av system but I'm having trouble setting up my Harmony 890. I cannot control my Yamaha receiver, no matter what I do. I get a message sying that the remote can not control the receiver. The system sets up but I have to use my WD remote. I also do not have the full audio functions on my receiver.

Why isn't Logitech responding to my emails?

G500 - pointer problem - mouse software

Hello, this is my second G series mouse and though I like them they seem to breakdown quickly in a gaming environment.

My problem is this. Game is World of Warcraft screen resolution 1980x1080 22inch. When using the G500 software no matter how hard I try to find the perfect setting the pointer is all over the place and really annoying. When switching to the OS software its much better but I have to have all the settings maxed out to make it usable.

I have the current drivers.

Any suggestions?

Squeezebox Classic shuts off before it ever plays

I've had a Squeezebox Classic for about 3-years with minimal problems, but I haven't been able to get it to play at all in months. I finally have some time to try and troubleshoot.

When I plug it in the Logitech logo comes up, then it slides over to Squeezebox logo, then it will usually just go blank. No amount of pressing the buttons on the remote will ever bring it back to life. Just and an unplug and re-plug in cycles me back. It doesn't always stop at the same place. Sometimes it will start to search for the network, sometimes I will get into the setup process and enter a network value or two, but ultimately it just goes blank before ever playing a note of music.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your quick reply... yes, as I wrote, i used the most recent version of LWS 2.1.1025.0 which i downloaded from the site.

I forgott to say, that the installation of the lws took very long and it stuck at the driver installation... after some unusual long time the installer did his work and endet normally.

Harmony One Screen Blank

My screen is DARK. So dark I can only see it with all the lights off at night. The screen is not cracked I just cant see anything. Is anyone else having this problem? My backlight works for all buttons but not screen.

So I did some more testing.

> Test 1
I've set up windows to go into standby.
I've disabled the WOL in bios
When the computer goes into standby, after 3 sec, it restarts.

> test 2
I've set up windows to go into standby.
I've closed squeezebox server and SQUEEZE process in task manager. When the computer goes into standby, it stays in standby mode.

So my problem is closely linked to Squeezebox server.
I've got a Touch, a SB3, a Boom and Radio connected. They where not playing, when testing, all were in standby mode (clock on display). The "Windows: Prevent System Standby" plugin was well confirgured.

So what's wrong ?

well mate , first thanks for the response...now they weren't working when i got the mice(which i shipped like +20$ or so)and i cannot return it to a shop when i didn't buy it at one...i tried on mac laptop and windows 7 pc and i am pretty sure its a factory fault...<<,,>> taking a bit of time through i am stuck with my old 800dpi wireless,,....which i truly hate

C910 major problem (Windows XP x64)

Hi, I bought Logitech C910, and I'm using it on 8gb raid supported athlon6400+ with winxp x64. Asume that I'm not using any "messenger" software - just plain software that came with the camera (and downloaded updated software).

Camera does this:

1. when I try to change resolution ONLY from 1080p to 720p it freezes, whole software related to cam freees and it cannot be terminated from taskmgr, even with pskill; camera must be unplugged from usb and computer restarted, if I skip unplugging it, next time I boot it's worse.

2. motion detection software won't start, camera turns on it's led like it's working, everything related to webcam freezes and unplugging+restart.

3. I've managed to run motion detection software only when camera was set for not using it's mic, then I start motion detection and it's frozen, but I start the skype and on sound test screen I switch from my soundmax hd audio mic to c910stereo and it works, and that's the only way.

4. I tried newest drivers and software and drivers and software that came with camera - totally same; I'm a computer admin so I assume that lack of knowledge is not the issue

5. similar problems experienced from others on the net, but camera just freezes and usb unplug+pc restart must be performed, so it's not just me.

6. when any of those problems occur, pc does not recognise usb unplugging of the camera, it doesn't go "ding dong" ;)

That's it, my opinion is that there's something wrong with audio part of the drivers, but I tried to disable it's audio in devmgr and no effect.

Please advise.

I tried to do that and used the tab named Additional Buttons for the PVR Remote where you can change key functions and found the one that said DVR and changed it from DVR to the Mute button on the Harmony One but it won't perform the PVR function like on the BEV remote.
